Kholi Hicks is Rainfall Films' resident screenwriter, cinematographer and technophile. Raised on the outskirts of Atlanta, GA he made his trek to the West Coast in the Summer of 2005 to further pursue a working career in Film and Video production, seeking a hands-on learning experience in the field.
He began screenwriting and creative writing as a hobby at an early age, earning writing achievement awards throughout his academic career. Wanting to get a taste of production, Kholi began to delve into the world of Digital Cinematography which led to the advent of many opportunities as Camera Operator on various projects, including the Legend of Zelda april fool's trailer. He has since worked with Rainfall on numerous projects, including a promotional trailer for Lionsgate, and the Missy Higgins Steer music video.
Kholi continues to progress as a screenwriter and cinematographer, bringing to the table an advanced understanding of the latest and greatest in image acquisition. To date, his equipment experience list includes Panavision's GENESIS Camera, the RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera, and extensive experience with Panasonic's Award Winning line of P2 Systems including the HPX500 and HVX200. He also has a multitude of hours invested in the usage of Letus Corporations 35mm Adapter Systems and Redrock Microsystems 35mm Adapter systems.
